If you’re a fan of daytime TV, you might have caught my appearance on BBC One’s Antiques Road Trip earlier this month (October 2022). A television first for me!
The programme team were up filming in the North-East and got in touch to ask for some input regarding the local dialect of Scots, and I was very happy to help (even if it was a bit of an eye-opening experience into how television is actually made: three hours of filming for about three minutes of footage!).
I had a great time chatting with their resident expert, Mark Hill, and big shout-out to Kath in the Old Aberdeen JG Ross bakery (of which I am a frequent customer!) for her star turn at the end.

The episode is available for a year on BBC iPlayer (I’m on about three quarters of the way through): https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001cshm
